The PSA contest has asked the youth in our community to create public service announcement pieces to help eliminate unnecessary risks while driving.
High school students of Simcoe County were able to present their work in any of three categories; print, radio, or video. The Award Ceremony will take place at Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club on Tuesday June 11, 2013 at 7PM.
At the upcoming award ceremony, a winner for each category will be announced at the live event. Winners will receive $500 and have their PSA displayed in the medium of their category. There is also chance for 3 runners up to receive $100 each.
The event will be hosted by Melanie Case & Melissa Hamilton of daytime, Rogers TV. Judges of the event will include: Mayor Jeff Lehman, Mayor of Barrie; Brian Patterson, CEO of Ontario Safety League; Deanne McCallum, Producer for Rogers TV Barrie; Dave Carr, VP of Programming for Central Ontario Broadcasting; Mark Wretham, GM of SNAP Barrie; Steve Overend, Head Driving Instructor with DriveWise; and Lesley de Repentigny, CEO of DriveWise.
Tangle Creek Golf & Country Club is located on 4730 Side Road #25 in Thornton, Ontario.
